Certificate of possession in Algeria

Receipt of the acquisition certificate in areas where land has not yet been surveyed and on the ground that has not yet been registered.

• The certificate of possession shall be registered in the name of the property owner, occupant, or user.

• A non-transferable certificate of possession, which has a certificate of possession of a property that is not entitled to sell, donate, or renounce that property.

• It is a famous and registered certificate.

• The acquisition certificate gives the right to obtain a building license and a bank loan.

• Legally the certificate of possession does not compare and does not rise to the title level.

Where to deposit the acquisition certificate application:
The application for the acquisition certificate shall be accompanied by a file and deposited at the level of the municipality in which the land is located.

Acquisition Certificate Application File Components:
• Written request.

• Four 04 copies of the site's block chart.

• Four 04 copies of the site chart delivered by a real estate expert.

• Record of separation and delimitation.

• 04 copies of honorary permit withdrawn from municipal interests.

• 02 birth certificates.

• 01 copy of the national identification card.

• 12 tax stamps worth 10 dinars.

• 1580 dinars registration rights.

Once the file has been filed, the Mayor shall correspond with the State property interests to ascertain whether the land belongs to the State or not. A municipal declaration is then issued to the opposition.

Suppose the land does not suffer from any dispute. In that case, the certificate of possession is issued and the registration is communicated to the real estate governorate, after which the mayor delivers a decision containing the certificate of possession.
